Young children play in front of their bombed out apartment block in downtown Kuito. Angola. The civil war destroyed over eighty percent of Kuito city and what is left are mostly ruins. Incredibly whole families now live in this apartment block with the sure knowledge that any day the structure will collapse. I somewhat diplomatically declined the kind offer from the children to go and play hide and seek with them in their apartment.
