Wounded Lebanese civilian sits in the ruins of his house destroyed by Israeli artillery. At the time of taking this photograph the wounded man said something to me that I had to have translated by my local fixer. I thought that with his pleasant demeanour and softly spoken voice he might be saying something akin to ‘please help me and my family please.’ But what he was actually saying was ‘please why don’t you just please fuck off and leave us alone please, what good can you possibly do!’
